Spiral tube heat exchanger
The spiral tube heat exchanger essentially consists of a shell and a spiral tube bundle. The tubes are bent in a spiral and installed as a spiral tube bundle in the shell. The heat exchangers are made entirely of stainless steel. Due to the robust, fully welded construction, pressures of up to 120 bar are permissible. High temperature loads of up to 400°C are possible. High temperature differences and thus strongly differing linear expansion between shell and tube are optimally compensated by the spiral tube design. The areas of application are, for example, heating systems, refrigeration technology (also for supercritical operation with CO2 and up to 120bar pressure), heat exchange in industrial processes, the chemical and food industries or the pharmaceutical industry.
